Concrete Repair and Resurfacing
RAM Builders repaired, replaced or retrofitted concrete foundations and flatwork for ten years in the state of California. We did a large amount of this type of work for three different national builders here, in the state of Utah. Our main concrete repair technician, Paul McCoy, has received specialty training in the complete “Miracoat” line of repair and resurfacing systems. We do complete removal and replacement of broken-up or cracked concrete. The difference at RAM is that we always correct the underlying problem which caused the concrete to fail in the first place. Many of our competitors simply rremove the bad concrete and place new concrete in exactly the same place in exactly the same way that it was before. We treat and rectify any problems with the subsurface soils first, and we always install a slip plane of introduced, engineered fill below the new concrete.
We repair and resurface spalled or lightly cracked concrete. “Spalling” is pitting or chips which break up the surface. They are the result of the freeze/thaw cycle. We seal all new concrete & repaired surfaces with a sophisticated, penetrating sealer to prevent freeze/thaw damage.
Complete concrete removal and replacement is available. Prior to pouring new concrete, we will find and rectify the underlying problem that caused the failure in the first place.
A large side yard and rear patio retrofit, just after the new concrete has been placed and “bull-floated”.
Even small repair jobs are sealed with a penetrant, to avoid spalling and break-up due to the freeze/thaw cycle.
