This is something we do on a lot of homes once they get anywhere from 15-25 years old. It is pretty common for people who have been in their home to update the color and fix a few areas where the roof is letting water behind the stucco system. We didn't do it on this home, but it is common to replace the windows and roof, since doing the windows and roof replacement correctly requires the stucco to be removed in isolated areas, doing this in conjunction with updating the home colors is more cost-effective.
On this home, we set scaffolding, removed stucco at the areas where the roof was letting water behind the stucco system, did the roof to wall and eave to wall connections. At the roof to wall connection on the backside of the third car garage we removed all of the stucco to fix the damaged OSB sheathing, then we patched in the stucco, reinforced the joints in the stucco where the patched stucco met the existing stucco system, reinforced the cracks in the stucco, skimmed all of the stucco walls flat, then applied new stucco finish over the walls.
